About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and imaginative Creative Teacher to deliver exciting, meaningful lessons to students who haven’t always felt inspired by education. Whether you’re an artist, designer, performer or a multi-disciplinary creative, if you have experience teaching and want to work in a supportive, values-driven environment, we’d love to hear from you.
This role involves leading small groups and 1:1 sessions onsite at our East London school, guiding students through vocational and qualification-based creative projects. You’ll also collaborate with and support a team of offsite teachers delivering complementary creative subjects – helping to shape a consistent and inspiring creative curriculum across TCW.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging, high-quality creative lessons to students in 1:1 and small group settings.
Adapt and personalise schemes of work to suit individual student interests, needs and abilities.
Supervise and support a team of offsite creative teachers, ensuring consistency and quality in delivery.
Oversee and track the creative progress of up to 20 assigned students.
Prepare and teach content aligned with qualifications (e.g. Unit Awards, Entry Level, GCSE), ensuring timely exam entries.
What We’re Looking For
A creative background (art, design, media, etc.) and experience teaching students with SEND or behavioural needs.
Someone who’s organised, adaptable, and genuinely cares about helping young people succeed.
Confidence in planning and delivering engaging, inclusive lessons – tailoring content to students’ interests and needs.
A true team player who enjoys collaboration, creativity, and doing things a little differently.
Excellent communication, organisational and teamwork skills.
