We are currently going through an exciting period of expansion, with plans to open a brand new Learning Hub in South London in September this year. As a result, we are growing our team of teachers and support staff. Next year we will be able to help more young people and offer a more complete educational experience than ever before. If you would like to be part of this journey, we would love to hear from you.

We believe in nurturing, developing and inspiring our staff, as well as our students. Everyone at TCW is encouraged to continually grow and develop through our sector-leading CPD Programme; we benefit from a range of staff wellbeing initiatives, including access to a trained counsellor; we also enjoy a generous pay package and transparent progression structure. Staff particularly value the camaraderie of their colleagues, who share their compassion and creativity, making for a dynamic workplace, filled with optimistic energy. The work we do has a genuine and lasting impact on the lives of vulnerable young people and that helps us to find real satisfaction in what we do. There is nothing quite like helping someone rediscover their love of learning, and in the process rediscover themselves. If you would like to be part of this, we would love to hear from you.

What our staff say

Quotation mark

Working for TCW has afforded lots of freedom and flexibility to think about new approaches to teaching - whether that's a maths lesson on ratio, through the medium of baking, or learning about history, via the literature of the period. There's always a great new resource being suggested and support from the cohort is never in short supply!

It's incredibly rewarding creating a connection with a young person who feels that an academic approach is not for them and not only helping them unlocking their potential, but helping them and those around them, recognise their achievement. I'm from a performance background and so teaching with TCW let's me approach academic subjects in a creative way to explore and inspire a love of learning. A good sense of humour helps! The ethos of TCW is to offer both staff and students alike a nurturing environment in which to grow and develop.

One of the things I love and appreciate the most about TCW is that from the moment we first step into the classroom, we are given the autonomy to be creative with the curriculum, and the independence to tailor it to meet our students needs. We have the opportunity to make learning meaningful for our students every day, to ignite their passion for learning and give them memorable experiences they will carry with them for the rest of their lives. Teaching at TCW is life changing - not just for the students, but for the teachers who have the opportunity to grow here.

My experience at TCW was brilliant – everyone was warm and friendly and it didn’t take long to feel like part of the community. The environment was very welcoming and it was valuable to be able to experience the different learning centres. Everyone I met made a real effort to support me, before I had arrived and during the placement.

My timetable was well managed and it was obvious that care had been taken to make sure that I got the best out of my experience. I knew exactly who to contact and who to speak to if I needed any support and everyone was very responsive and happy to help. I only spent a short time at TCW but it felt like that everyone went above and beyond to make sure that I could make the most out of the experience and gave me as many opportunities as they could. It was a pleasure to be a part of TCW for a short time.

Leaders help staff to manage their workload and support their well-being. As a result, staff feel valued and are dedicated to their jobs.
